Dear Parent, as we walk through this journey of parenting. It is vital for us to accept and believe in Jesus Christ of Nazareth. We need to give our lives to Christ to lead us and guide us on this. This is because we are parenting in a defective world and thus we fight against principalities.
Ephesians 6:12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
The other reason that might also hinder us is that we are all sinners and therefore cannot walk in the light of God. The only way we can be made righteous is by faith in Jesus Christ.
Roman3:22-23 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: 23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; … Nay: but by the law of faith.
Can a blind man lead a blind man? Unless we have the knowledge and understanding of the Word of God as parents, we will not be able to impart it on our children. Luke 6:39 He also told them this parable: “Can the blind lead the blind? Will they not both fall into a pit?
If you are not saved you are not safe, likewise if you are not in Christ, you are in crisis. The good news is that, once we acknowledge Christ in our lives, He will help us in our weaknessness, and the Holy Spirit will intercede for us in accordance with The will of God. (Romans 8:26-27) Only then shall we be able to approach the throne of grace with boldness/ confidence so that we may receive mercy and grace in our time of need.
We can only be conquerors if God is for us. And God can only be for us, if we seek ye His Kingdom first. Then he will graciously give us all things including our hearts desires for our children to turn out well eventually. The bible says that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. (Roman 8:28)
From the verses above, we note that both the Holy Spirit and God will intercede and work for us if we are in His will. The will of God is to train up our children up in the way they should go so that they will never depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6) And in Genesis 18:19 we see that the way to go is the way of God. “For I know him, He will command his children in the ways of God.” For us to do this, we have to allow Christ to work with us. We have to let the Holy Spirit to guide and teach us. If we do accept Christ to be the Lord and saviour over our lives, then we will not be put to shame. (Romans 10:11)
How do I accept Christ in my life?
Romans 10:9, “If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Romans 10:13, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
Prayer of Salvation
Lord Jesus, I offer my heart to you today,
Come into my heart today Lord Jesus and forgive me my sins,
Wash me with your blood that was shed in Calvary.
I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again,
That I might be justified. Right now, I believe my sins are forgiven.
I am justified, I am saved, I am born again, and I am a child of God,
I am free from the power of sin, to serve the Living God.
Thank you Jesus for receiving me,
Thank you for restoring me,
And thank you for saving me.
In Jesus Mighty name. AMEN.
Congratulations! You have accepted Christ and are now a new creation in Him. By believing we have been made righteous. We are now safe in His strong tower.
Romans 5:1, “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Romans 8:1, “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”
Our sins have been forgiven. And nothing can separate us from the love of God again.
Romans 8:38-39, “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
